- Add the chopped onion and green chillies and saute till the onions are translucent.
- Add the ginger garlic paste and saute for few more minutes.
- Add the chopped tomato.
- Add the red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, dry mango powder, garam masala powder or kitchen king masala and salt. Saute for few seconds.
- Add water and cook for a minute.
- Add the chopped lauki. Add the soaked and drained chana dal and mix well.
- Cancel saute. Close and lock the lid of the pressure cooker. Turn the steam valve to "Sealed". Select "Pressure Cook"and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
- When the 10 minutes is up, let the pressure come down naturally. Open the pressure cooker. If the cooked curry has too much gravy, press "Saute" and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes or until you get the desired consistency. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve Lauki Chana Dal Ki Sabzi with hot roti or chapati. It can also be served with hot steamed rice.
