  3. After a couple of minutes or so, add the cornstarch mixture. If the mixture is too thick, add more water. Add crushed black pepper. Stir now and then. If the mixture is a bit bubbly, then it is done.
  4. Pour the sauce over the fried tofu and serve.

Stir cornstarch mixture and add to the pan. Put the panko and cornstarch in separate shallow bowls. Lightly season the tofu on both sides with salt. Stir in the vegetables and oyster sauce. Return tofu to pan and gently toss to combine.
