The ingredients needed to make Challah Bread:
  1. Get all purpose flour sifted
  2. Prepare instant dry yeast
  3. Prepare salt
  4. Get warm water
  5. Take egg(1 egg approx)
  6. Make ready butter
  7. Make ready honey
  8. Prepare Egg wash
  9. Take Sesame/poppy seeds…optional
Instructions to make Challah Bread:
  1. Mix flour, yeast,honey, butter,salt,and the egg in a bowl…aim to attain a crumbly like texture
  2. Add water and continue mixing till the dough comes together.. Transfer to a floured surface and hard knead till the dough stops being sticky
  3. Set aside in a greased bowl and set aside till it doubles in size
  4. Punch it down once proofed… And pinch out about 5 dough balls…
  5. From each dough ball, roll out about 4, 5, or 6 strands…braid them and roll them into a turban bread shape
  6. Let them proof for the second time…apply some egg wash..apply sesame seeds at this point
  7. Bake for 200 degrees C for about 30 minutes or till golden brown
  8. Enjoy with a cup of tea
