Hey everyone, it is Jim, welcome to my recipe page. Today, I’m gonna show you how to make a special dish, stuffing. It is one of my favorites. For mine, I’m gonna make it a little bit unique. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Stuffing is one of the most popular of current trending meals in the world. It’s appreciated by millions daily. It is simple, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. They are nice and they look wonderful. Stuffing is something that I have loved my whole life.

Stuffing can either be served as a side dish or as the filling for the cavity of a turkey or other types of poultry. It comes in many different forms, with the base being made of either dried bread, cornbread, or breadcrumbs. Fresh herbs, sausage and sweet apples make this stuffing a fall classic. A delicious moist vegetarian cornbread stuffing with applesauce, lemon pepper, thyme, and marjoram that goes well with any main dish.

To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have stuffing using 9 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Stuffing:
  1. Get 1 lb bulk Italian sausage (sweet or hot)
  2. Get 1/2 cup butter
  3. Prepare 1 large Spanish onion chopped
  4. Take 4 pieces celery chopped
  5. Prepare 2 Granny Smith apples peeled & cored and chopped
  6. Get 1 tbsp rubbed sage crumbled
  7. Make ready 1 tsp thyme leaves chopped
  8. Get 8 cups cornbread croutons
  9. Prepare 2 1/2 cups chicken broth

Place stuffing in casserole or baking dish. The edges are golden and crunchy, the inside is soft. It's wildly flavorful and buttery and filled with herbs and most importantly, a delicious neutral flavor that truly goes with any meal. Stuffing is by FAR my favorite side dish.

Steps to make Stuffing:
  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Brown sausage and remove from pan. Drain grease.
  3. Add butter to pan and melt over medium heat. Add onion and celery and cook until softened. Add apple and cook until softened. Add herbs and stir.
  4. Pour mixture from pan into oven-safe dish. Add sausage and croutons and mix. Pour chicken broth over mixture. Bake for 30-40 minutes.

It's wildly flavorful and buttery and filled with herbs and most importantly, a delicious neutral flavor that truly goes with any meal. Stuffing is by FAR my favorite side dish. In fact, Thanksgiving is alllll about the side dishes for me. Add to bread mixture; fold gently until thoroughly combined. Transfer to prepared dish, cover with foil, and bake.
